‘Stranger Things Season 5′ terrifying initial five minutes recreate Will Byers’ eerie 1983 disappearance inti the Upside Down. Where to watch all the episodes?
Netflix has already released the first five minutes of the fifth season of Stranger Things, which has been jailed as the bone-chilling episode since it does not begin where the fans may have guessed.
“In the first five minutes of the premiere episode – which debuted during the Stranger Things 5 virtual watch party- we were transported to 1983, when the town of Hawkins was first torn apart following the mysterious disappearance of Will Byers (Noah Schnapp),” Netflix said.
The episode begins by having de-aged Noah Schnapp portrayed as 12-year-old Will Byers who is shivering and terrified on the inside of the Upside Down Castle Byers.
He himself sings the Clash song, Should I Stay or Should I Go, which was first played to him by his elder brother Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) in the first episode of the show. That song previously offered the brothers some comfort in a stressful family situation – and it’s re-appearance here might be a message of the Duffer Brothers, similar to Kate Bush and her Running Up That Hill being a savior to Max (Sadie Sink) versus Vecna.
There are weird guttural noises that are heard as Will sings outside of the fort. After a few seconds, there is a bursting door by a Demogorgon. Will takes a hunting rifle and shoots the creature. He tries to climb a tree to run away, however the monster finds him and hits him on the ground. Before he can be carried off, he blackouts.
The scene goes black and then opens back to the Upside Down of Hawkins Library. Demogorgon has taken Will to Vecna, who comes out of the shadows, with his tentacles attached to the wall and pinning Will.
Only a few more weeks to go before audiences will begin to unravel some of those answers as the first four episodes of the series premiere on November 26, then three more on Christmas Day and the series finale on the Eve of the New Year. Every episode airs at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET, as opposed to midnight.
“Will the Hawkins crew defeat Vecna once and for all? What other secrets lie inside the dark, twisted world of the Upside Down? Tune in for the first four episodes of Stranger Things 5 on Nov. 26, followed by three episodes on Christmas, and The Finale on New Year’s Eve. Find out when new episodes arrive in your part of the world here,” said Netflix.
